Who Receives Support From Options?

Options' services are available to people who are at least 18 years of age, live in Dane County, and have a developmental disability. Eligibility for services is determined by the Dane County Human Services Department, and referrals are made by Dane County Adult Community Services or by support brokers for individuals who are electing to direct their own services. Currently, Options supports 103 people ranging in age from 23 to 80. 90% of the people supported by Options experience varying degrees of mental retardation. Options supports people with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injury, mental illness, and hearing impairments; many people have multiple and severe disabilities.
